Since our founding in 1958, Nakagawa Chemical Equipment has remained committed to water and the environment.
This timeline presents our corporate history.

1960

Company founded by Saburo Nakagawa as a one-person company.

1967

NCE incorporated as Nakagawa Chemical Equipment Co., Ltd.
Sales begun of patented S-type batch-processing wastewater treatment equipment.

1984

NCE introduces CAD systems.
Capital increase of JPY 30 million

1986

Sales begun of wastewater treatment equipment for plate-making, coating and PCB manufacturing operations.

1987

Sales begun of wastewater treatment equipment for semiconductor and liquid crystal product manufacturing.
Sales begun of wastewater treatment equipment for universities and research facilities.

1990

New company building completed.
Sales begun of wash water recycling equipment utilizing a patented HCFC cleaning agent.
Joint corporation Taiwan Nakagawa Environmental Corporation established.

1992

Director Takeshi Nakagawa becomes President of NCE.

1993

Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT (M) SDN. BHD. (closed in 2015)

1996

Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT PHILS., CORP. (closed in 2024)
Established Jakarta Representative Office

1997

Nagoya Branch Office established.

2001

Established a liaison office in China.

2003

Upgraded the China liaison office to NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT (LIYANG) CO., LTD. (closed in 2021)

2008

Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT VIETNAM CO.,LTD.

2012

Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT THAILAND CO.,LTD. (closed in 2022)

2014

Upgraded the Jakarta representative office to PT NCE INDONESIA.

2015

Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT MYANMAR CO., LTD.
Established NAKAGAWA CHEMICAL EQUIPMENT MEXICO S.A. de C.V.

2017

NCE celebrates 50 years of incorporation.

2023

Capital increase of JPY 98 million

2025

NAKAGAWA Takeshi appointed Chairman & CEO.
NAKAGAWA Tsutomu appointed President & COO.
